ICatAdm::StopCatalog method
[Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.]
Stops the catalog and retrieves its previous state.
Syntax
HRESULT StopCatalog(
[out, retval] CatalogStateType *pdwOldState
);
Parameters

pdwOldState [out, retval]

The previous state of the catalog. Can be any of the CICAT_* Constants.
Return value
If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
