EncryptedKeyEncryptingCredentials Constructor (X509Certificate2)

[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. Initializes a new instance of the EncryptedKeyEncryptingCredentials class based on the specified X.509 certificate.

Parameters

  • certificate
    An X509Certificate2 that contains the certificate used to encrypt the key.

Remarks

Use this constructor if the wrapping credential is an X.509 certificate and you want to use the default wrapping algorithm and encryption algorithm, which are RSA-OAEP and AES256 respectively.
