Windows Forms usa o modelo de single-threaded apartment (STA), como Windows Forms é baseado no windows nativo do Win32 que são inerentemente apartamento. O modelo de STA requer que todos os métodos em um controle que precisam ser chamado a partir de fora do segmento de criação do controle devem ser empacotados para (executado no) thread de criação do controle. A classe base Control fornece vários métodos (Invoke, BeginInvoke, e EndInvoke) para essa finalidade. Invokefaz chamadas de método síncrono; BeginInvokefaz chamadas de método assíncrono.
Se você usar multithreading em seu controle para tarefas de uso intenso de recursos, a interface do usuário pode permanecer responsiva enquanto uma computação intensivo de recursos está sendo executado em um segmento de plano de fundo.

DirectorySearcherInicia um novo segmento para executar a pesquisa.
