Viewing the configuration of a virtual machine

On the configuration page for your virtual machine, you can view the information described in the following table.

Item	Description
General properties	The name of the virtual machine, as well as a description of its behavior when the Virtual Server service starts or stops. This is also where you configure the Virtual Machine Helper account.
Virtual Machine Additions	The version of Virtual Machine Additions if it is installed. You must install Virtual Machine Additions in order to improve performance and manageability of the guest operating system.
Memory	The amount of memory allocated to this virtual machine.
Hard disks	All of the virtual hard disks attached to this virtual machine.
CD/DVD	The number of virtual CD or DVD drives installed, their names, the channel to which they are attached, and the file name of any attached ISO image (.iso) files.
SCSI adapters	The number of virtual SCSI adapters installed, their names, SCSI adapter IDs, and the bus to which they are attached. There can be up to seven virtual SCSI drives on each of four SCSI buses, for a total of 28 per virtual machine. However, there can only be one shared virtual SCSI drive per SCSI bus. Shared virtual SCSI drives are used as the quorum disk when clustering two virtual machines.
Network adapters	The number of virtual network adapters installed, their names, the network to which they are connected, and their media access control (MAC) addresses.
Scripts	Information about whether scripts are enabled or disabled. If scripts are enabled, users with the appropriate permissions can specify scripts that run when certain virtual machine events occur.
Floppy drive	Information about captured media on the virtual floppy drive.
COM ports	The name of installed virtual COM ports and the physical COM port file or named pipe to which they are attached. Note that only physical COM ports 1 through 4 can be attached to a virtual COM port.
LPT ports	The name of the installed virtual LPT port and the physical LPT port to which it is attached. This will always be LPT1.
