On-Demand Synchronization
You can synchronize content and configuration settings on-demand to the entire cluster, only a specific member, or only for a specific application to the entire cluster. On-demand synchronization applies to all Application Center applications or only the selected application. Only members in the synchronization loop are synchronized in cluster synchronization and application synchronization. Member synchronization can be performed for any available (Alive) member regardless of whether it is in the synchronization loop.
Notes
Cluster Synchronization
Start cluster synchronization by clicking Synchronize cluster in the Application Center snap-in or by using the command-line command AC DEPLOY /START. All members in the synchronization loop are synchronized with the controller. All files and settings are synchronized (except for COM+ applications and global ISAPI filters).
Member Synchronization
Start member synchronization by clicking Synchronize member in the Application Center snap-in or by using the command-line command AC DEPLOY /START. Only the specified member is synchronized with the controller. All files and settings (except for COM+ applications) are synchronized. The synchronization occurs even if the member is not in the synchronization loop.
Application Synchronization
Start application synchronization by clicking Synchronize in the Applications view or by using the command-line command AC DEPLOY /START. The specified application (except for COM+ applications) are synchronized to all members in the synchronization loop.
