Returns a Boolean that contains a value indicating whether the column is set to null.

Parameters

  • ordinal
    The zero-based ordinal position of the column to find.

Return Value

A Boolean containing true if the column is set to null; false otherwise.

Remarks

Call this method to check for null column values before calling the typed methods used to retrieve column values (for example, GetByte, GetChar, and so on), to avoid raising an error.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
