After you have installed and configured the farm and deployed your solution, you will need to configure the ongoing operations for your environment.
Configure content deployment
Only farm administrators can configure content deployment jobs. Authors and end users can run content deployment jobs.
Action |
Using Central Administration, create content deployment paths and configure content deployment jobs to run as specified when planning the system.
Test that the content deployment jobs run as expected and document how to run content deployment jobs. Document standards for setting up content deployment jobs. |

Outcome |
Search results are available for both sites. Operations documentation that describes how to configure search. |

Configure the business data catalog service
The business data catalog service is required for a site feature: the Web part connecting to the back-end career opportunities database.
Action |
Configure the authoring farm as the SSP for the business data catalog.
|
Outcome |
Functioning business data catalog shared service. Service configured to support the career opportunities database. |

Configure backup and test recovery
