Web Part Client Support

Web browser support for Web Part Pages can be categorized into three levels:

  • Level 1 browser support is the highest level of visual and functional support. Browsers that provide level 1 support include Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 and later for Microsoft Windows®.
  • Level 2 browser support allows users the majority of features that are available with level 1 support. However, there is limited availability of a few visual and functional features for some browsers, and certain other features might behave differently than in level 1-supported browsers. Browsers that provide level 2 support include Internet Explorer 5.01 SP3 for Windows and Netscape Navigator 6.2 and later for Windows.
  • Level 3 browser support allows users to access the data they need, with an acceptable, though not necessarily optimal, user experience. These browsers behave with minor differences across operating systems, and such differences are not always addressed with alternate support. Browsers that provide level 3 support include Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 for Apple Macintosh and Netscape Navigator 6.2 for Macintosh and Unix.
