Renders the field for noneditable display.

Parameters

  Type: System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter

  The object that writes the HTML that is to be rendered.

Remarks

The default implementation renders the field as it is rendered on a list view page. The DisplayTemplate is used, if it is not a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic). If it is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), the schema of the list field is used.

Override the default implementation only when you need the field to render differently on a display form from how it renders on a list view.
