Service Item Group Table

Specifies groups of items that are related in respect to repair and maintenance. For example, servers, televisions, monitors and radios.

You can use service item groups to set default values for the service items that belong to the groups. For example, contract discount percentages, service price group codes and response times. If you want the program to create service items automatically when you sell items (that is, post sales invoices), you need to assign service item groups to these items and mark the service item group as creating service items.

When you have set up service item groups, you can assign them to items, service items and service item lines in service orders.
