How to: Enable or Disable a Key Group
When you add many keys to a database table, it can decrease performance. However, you can make the keys members of predefined key groups and enable them only when they will be used. This improves performance.
To enable or disable a key group
In the development environment, on the File menu, choose Database, and then choose Information to open the Database Information window.
In the Database Information window, choose the Tables button.
In the Database Information (Tables) window, choose the Key Groups button. The Database Key Groups window opens.
In the Database Key Groups window, select the key group you want to enable or disable, and then choose the Enable or Disable button.
In the dialog box, choose the Yes button to enable or disable the key group.
