AuthenticationBase<T>.ValidateUser Method

Parameters

  • userName
    Type: System.String
    The name of the user to be validated.
  • password
    Type: System.String
    The password for the specified user.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the user is valid; otherwise, false.

Remarks

This method is invoked from Login. By default, it delegates to Membership.ValidateUser. The base implementation does not need to be invoked when this method is overridden.
