NetworkPolicy Configuration Service Provider

4/8/2010

Use the NetworkPolicy Configuration Service Provider to configure network policy settings. The NetworkPolicy Configuration Service Provider is used for Bluetooth, IrDA, and Wi-Fi.

The NetworkPolicy Configuration Service Provider can be managed over both Open Mobile Alliance Device Management (OMA DM) protocol and OMA Client Provisioning (formerly WAP Client Provisioning) protocol.

Note

Access to this Configuration Service Provider is determined by Security roles. Because OEMs and Mobile Operators can selectively disallow access, ask them about the availability of this Configuration Service Provider. For more information about roles, see Security Roles and Default Roles for Configuration Service Providers.

The following image shows the NetworkPolicy Configuration Service Provider object in tree format as used by OMA DM.
