The FRAMESET element specifies a frameset consisting of 1 or more frames. This is a block element and requires a closing tag.

Using this Element

Attributes

The following table shows items that Internet Explorer Mobile supports.

Attribute	Value	Description
BORDER	0…#	Specifies the number of pixels to reserve as space between frames. If the value is less than 3, Internet Explorer Mobile uses the value of 3.
BORDERCOLOR	Special	Sets the table border color. Table border colors are disabled on grayscale devices, and borders are always black. See BODY BGCOLOR for the format and possible color names. This attribute is equivalent to the CSS: border-color: {color};
CLASS		Associates the element with a CSS style. > [!NOTE] > Supported only on Pocket PC for Windows Mobile 2003 and later.
COLS		Comma-separated values specifying frame width. Values are in pixels, a percentage of the available width, or the relative value width*. After allocating space for pixel and percentage width sized frames, the remaining space is divided between relative-sized frames.
ID		Uniquely identifies the element within a document. > [!NOTE] > Supported only on Pocket PC for Windows Mobile 2003 and later.
ONLOAD		An event that occurs when the frameset is loaded. > [!NOTE] > Supported only on Pocket PC 2002 and later.
ONUNLOAD		An event that occurs immediately before the frameset is unloaded. > [!NOTE] > Supported only on Pocket PC 2002 and later.
ROWS	Special	Comma-separated values specifying frame height. Values are in pixels, a percentage of the available width, or the relative value height*. After allocating space for pixel and percentage height sized frames, the remaining space is divided between relative-sized frames.
STYLE		Provides the definition of the CSS styles used for this element. > [!NOTE] > Supported only on Pocket PC for Windows Mobile 2003 and later.

Event	Comment
onload	This event fires when the frameset is loaded. The onload event will not fire if the user refreshes a page. For frames pages, the onload event does not fire until all frames in the frameset are loaded.
onunload	This event fires immediately before the frameset is unloaded.

getAttribute	option	Syntax: vAttrValue=frameset.getAttribute(sAttrName[,iFlags]) Returns the value of the specified attribute. If the attribute is not present then a NULL is returned. sAttrName is a String containing the name of the attribute. iFlags is an integer that specifies one or more of the following: 0 (Default) Performs a property search that is not case-sensitive, and returns an interpolated value if the property is found. 1 Performs a case-sensitive property search. To find a match, the uppercase and lowercase letters in sAttrName must exactly match those in the attribute name. 2 Returns the value exactly as it was set in script or in the source document.
