The following table shows the XML HTTP methods, with a description of the purpose of each.

Programming element	Description
abort Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Cancels the current HTTP request.
getAllResponseHeaders Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Retrieves the values of all the HTTP headers.
getResponseHeader Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Retrieves the value of an HTTP header from the response body.
open Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Initializes an MSXML2.XMLHTTP request and specifies the method, URL, and authentication information for the request.
send Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Sends an HTTP request to the server and receives a response.
setRequestHeader Method (IXMLHTTPRequest)	Specifies the name of an HTTP header.
