2.2.3.5 Transaction Manager Contact Registry Keys

The transaction manager contact registry keys contain contact identifier (CID) information required for accessing transaction manager endpoints. For all versions of the registry protocol, the registry path of these registry keys is HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CID\<GUID>, as specified in section 2.2.1.2.2.4. The <GUID> part of the registry path is the contact identifier (CID) for a transaction manager endpoint.

There MUST be a contact registry key for each endpoint supported by a transaction manager and each contact registry key MUST have a unique GUID string value (as specified in [MS-DTYP] section 2.3.4.3), and MUST have a "Description\(Default)" subkey value (as specified in section 2.2.3.5.1) set to one of the values in the "Description\(Default)" column of the following table. Each contact registry key MUST have a different "Description\(Default)" subkey value.

The transaction manager contact registry keys are referred to elsewhere in this specification using names derived from the "Description\(Default)" subkey value and given in the "Description\(Default)" column of the following table.
