Este exemplo mostra como adicionar, recuperar, atualizar e remover itens de um System.Collections.Concurrent.ConcurrentDictionary<TKey,TValue>. Essa classe de coleção é uma implementação thread-safe. É recomendável usá-la sempre que vários threads possam estar tentando acessar os elementos simultaneamente.
ConcurrentDictionary<TKey,TValue> fornece vários métodos de conveniência que tornam desnecessário que o código verifique se uma chave existe antes de tentar adicionar ou remover dados. A tabela a seguir lista esses métodos de conveniência e descreve quando usá-los.

ConcurrentDictionary<TKey,TValue> foi projetado para cenários multi-threaded. Você não precisa usar bloqueios em seu código para adicionar ou remover itens da coleção. No entanto, sempre é possível que um thread recupere um valor e que outro thread atualize imediatamente a coleção, dando um novo valor à mesma chave.
Além disso, embora todos os métodos de ConcurrentDictionary<TKey,TValue> sejam thread-safe, nem todos os métodos são atômicos, especificamente GetOrAdd e AddOrUpdate. Para evitar que código desconhecido bloqueie todos os threads, o delegado do usuário que é passado para esses métodos é invocado fora do bloqueio interno do dicionário. Portanto, é possível que essa sequência de eventos ocorra:

.threadB chama GetOrAdd simultaneamente, seu delegado

Portanto, não há garantia de que os dados retornados por GetOrAdd sejam os mesmos dados que foram criados por valueFactory
do thread. Uma sequência semelhante de eventos pode ocorrer quando AddOrUpdate é chamado.
