Oracle LOBs

O Provedor de Dados do .NET Framework para Oracle inclui a classe OracleLob, que é usada para trabalhar com os tipos de dados LOB do Oracle.

Um OracleLob pode ser um destes tipos de dados OracleType:

Tipo de dados Descrição
Blob Um tipo de dados BLOB do Oracle contendo dados binários com um tamanho máximo de 4 gigabytes. Mapeia para um Array do tipo Byte.
Clob Um tipo de dados CLOB do Oracle contendo dados de caracteres, com base no conjunto de caracteres padrão no servidor, com tamanho máximo de 4 gigabytes. Mapeia para Cadeia de caracteres.
NClob Um tipo de dadosNCLOB do Oracle contendo dados de caractere, com base no conjunto de caracteres nacional no servidor, com um tamanho máximo de 4 gigabytes. Mapeia para Cadeia de caracteres.

Um OracleLob difere de um OracleBFile porque os dados são armazenados no servidor em vez de em um arquivo físico no sistema operacional. Também pode ser um objeto de leitura e gravação, diferente de um OracleBFile que é sempre somente leitura.

Criar, recuperar e escrever em um LOB

O exemplo C# a seguir demonstra como é possível criar LOBs em uma tabela do Oracle e, em seguida, recuperá-los e gravá-los na forma de objetos OracleLob. O exemplo demonstra o uso do objeto OracleDataReader e os métodos de Leitura e Gravação do OracleLob. O exemplo usa os tipos de dados BLOB, CLOB e NCLOB do Oracle .
