Introdução
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) é uma linguagem de programação que é utilizada para controlar funcionalidades do Microsoft Excel ou qualquer outro programa desenvolvido para o Sistema Operacional Windows, desde que seja compatível com esta tecnologia.
Nos produtos do Microsoft Office, você escreve esses procedimentos em macros através do Editor do Visual Basic em que são chamados modules que podem ser visualizadas pressionando Alt+F11.
VB Script (VBS) têm o mesmo contexto do VBA, mas em arquivos separados com extensão .vbs, e usando métodos e propriedades do Windows Script Host (WSH). É possível acessar às API's do Windows e outras funcionalidades de baixo nível através das bibliotecas dinâmicas (DLLs).
