This is SQL Server 2005 Preview WebCast week being given by Microsoft. I have a version of the Visual Web Dev Express which came with .NET framework 2.0 build V2.0.40607. When I went to install the new SQL Server 2005 Express from the web casts this week It uses .NET Framework 2.0 build 2.0.40903.
Normally your system would install both, just like Framework 1.0 and 1.1 sit side by side and operate toghether. But both your VS 2005 install script and the SQL Server 2005 install script fail, preventing these separate version of the .NET Framework from sitting side by side.

When I went to install the SQL Server 2005 it said I must uninstall the v2.0.40607 before SQL Server 2005 would install. So I uninstalled it and then I also uninstalled Visual Web Dev 2005 Express. Then I was able to successfully install SQL Server 2005 Express, then I got the latest beta of Web Dev 2005 Express and attempted to re-install, but its install script failed - obviously because I have a different version fo the SQL Server 2005 Express than what the beta wants to setup, and a different .Net Framework 2.0. Do you have any Web Dev 2005 that I can reload that will work with the SQL 2005 Express?

The old version of the SQL Server Express that you included with Web Dev 2005 did not allow the SQL Manager and the new SQL Server 2005 does and I want to have the manager to try SQL and CLR directly with the SQL Server.

    Thanks.
