More on Whidbey API deprecation (by yag)

Last week I blogged about our work on being open about API deprecation. We've posted a document that goes through the steps we're going to be taking in marking an API obsolete and deprecating it. The key is that we'll be obsoleting things over a period of time, giving plenty of notice. For an example of how we'll be listing deprecated APIs, check out Brad's blog.

    Why do you keep inventing new meanings for words?
    Deprecate is a perfectly good word with a perfectly good meaning, that has nothing to do with your use of it.

    If you mean "Mark as obsolescent", then say so.
