Feedback on the "Commercial Control"

The folks over at Via Virtual Earth have started up a forum thread on the free-to-use, ad supported "commercial control", trying to get feedback on what you think microsoft should do different or the same as we prepare for future versions.  If you have an opinion we would love to hear from you, so please chime in.

  I don’t mean to offend anyone but…. Why can you guys create beautiful looking push pins like the ones you find on Google maps? Seriously, the current look and feel of the default push pin is a joke. The Google map push pin not only looks beautiful but it’s also intuitive to use and understand.
  
  Once a better default push pin has been created, an excellent add-on to the push pin class would be the ability to include text that appears on top of the push pin (not as a popup or something similar). In other words, similar to the numbers that appear when you ask for driving direction on http://local.live.com/. It would also be nice to add support for transparency on the custom push pins.
  
  Finally, would it ever be possible to save the image tiles on the users local PC? We have Windows forms application where we use the web browser control to allow the user to create running paths using the map. Unfortunately, users have to be always connected to see the map. Users end up making print screens of the maps anyway so why not let the tiles be saved locally for later reuse? I am sure that most of them will be more than willing to pay to have this ability.

  The Via Virtual Earth post mentioned that it would be possible to license the regular Map Control for commercial use.  Do you have any more information on that option?
