Searching for information in OneNote files using MSN Desktop Search

I use OneNote a lot to take notes and keep track of information. I also use MSN Desktop Search to find my information. Unfortunately, OneNote files do not rank very highly in MSN Desktop Search results. I have no idea why. This was painful because I knew the information I was searching for was in OneNote, but DS would return all sorts of results from other locations.

I then found that I could restrict the search to a particular extension. Like so: "<Search term> ext:one" where "one" is the extension of OneNote files. This is a lifesaver for me. I still think the ranking algorithm needs to be fixed to show OneNote results higher up, but for now I can continue to use both of these programs.
