Pinpoint FAQs

I’ve recently had a number of questions relating to Pinpoint so here is some further information that my Pinpoint colleague, Steven Sams, has put together specifically for the Community:

“The Small Business Specialist Centre recently switched over from Solution Finder to Pinpoint. Here are some answers to the most commonly asked questions about this transition. We hope the new site will help you generate many more leads.

Where Can I Learn More about Pinpoint? Most of your questions will be answered on the partner help section of the Pinpoint site.

How Do I Get My Solutions on Pinpoint? If you already have solutions in Solution Profiler, they will be reviewed and automatically transferred to Pinpoint. In some cases, you may need to review and edit your solutions to match the Pinpoint Content Guidelines so that they can be validated. If you do not have any solutions created yet, you will still need to add them using the Solution Profiler tool on the Microsoft Partner Network. Please note: all changes in Solution Profiler take 2-3 business days before they appear on Pinpoint.

How Do I Rank Higher in Search Results? If you would like to rank higher in search results and be found more frequently and more accurately in Pinpoint searches, then please do all or any of the following:

1. Get reviewed and rated by your customers on Pinpoint

2. Follow the content guidelines for Pinpoint when adding or editing a solution

3. Focus on the customer in your title and descriptions

4. Target specific audiences through multiple solutions
