Microsoft UK SMB to customer marketing: What we do and what we can do to help you in the future
As part of the Microsoft Partner Network benefits, we invest heavily in sales and marketing resources for our partners. As part of these benefits, we also ensure that our Small Business Specialist partners can utilise the marketing campaign materials that our ‘to SMB customer’ team execute (these campaign materials reside here: https://partner.microsoft.com/UK/salesmarketingsection/smcampaigns).
The reach of that to SMB customer marketing team is extensive:
- Our Small Business Centre (https://www.microsoft.com/uk/smallbusiness/default.aspx) is viewed by over half a million customers annually
- These campaigns (https://partner.microsoft.com/UK/salesmarketingsection/smcampaigns) secured over 138,468 visitors – each campaign had its own call to action such as encouraging customers to get involved in a trial. For example, one campaign resulted in over 55,000 trials of Office 2010
- All of our campaigns are focused on talking to SMBs in a language that it is relevant – these campaigns ‘talk’ in terms of business benefits, not ‘bits and bytes’.
- In the current environment, digital marketing is key. For example, we send marketing campaign related emails to more than 800,000 customers monthly. These emails always encourage customers to work with a partner (ideally a Small Business Specialist)
The above are just some of the indicators of the reach of our ‘to SMB customer’ marketing but we want to know how we can best support you? What are the hot topics that you want to talk to prospects and customers about? What marketing materials do you need to initiate and progress these prospect and customer conversations? We’re currently planning what we can do to best support you this financial year so let us (email: dequinn@microsoft.com) know your ideas. Then throughout this new financial year (which started for us as of July 1 2010 and ends June 30 2011), we’ll endeavour to provide what you need.
