Microsoft Partner Network: Future of the Small Business Specialist Community

Yesterday, all of our SBSC should have received an email providing an overview of how the Microsoft Partner Network is evolving.

In summary, key items as follows:

Small Business Specialist Community – The requirements for obtaining the Small Business Specialist designation will remain the same as they are today. Benefits remain consistent. You can also continue to utilise the Small Business Specialist logo (i.e. the blue badge). Click here for Small Business Specialist requirement details and for a list of qualifying exams.

Competency level – The Midmarket Solution Provider competency will be available as of May 2010 while the Small Business Solution Provider competency will be available from October 2010. Refer to the Value of Earning a Microsoft Competency Guide for Small Business Solution Provider and Midmarket Solution Provider competency requirement details and for a list of qualifying exams.

Advanced competency level – As of October 2010, advanced competencies in Small Business Solution Provider and Midmarket Solution Provider will be available. Refer to the Value of Earning a Microsoft Competency Guide for Small Business Solution Provider and Midmarket Solution Provider advanced competency requirement details and for a list of qualifying exams.
