“Back to School” - Get ready for the schools spending season

June and July are always the biggest IT spending months for Schools, as they utilise the long summer holiday to implement their new IT solutions. With the 33,000 schools IT budget still growing there is a great opportunity for Microsoft partners over the next couple of months. If you are working with schools remember that you will need to  be an Authorised Education Reseller (AER) to sell Microsoft licenses. To be an AER you are required to be either a Gold, Certified or SBSC partner and pass the online exam at https://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/buy/where/aer-search.mspx. There is also a library of marketing resources and materials on the UK Public Sector Partner Portal www.microsoft.com/uk/partner/publicsector including an Upgrade the Desktop and Security and Reliability campaign specifically designed for Schools.
