Sudoku... want the code?

In my last post I talked about the implementation of Sudoku we created for the Tablet PC and the Ultra-Mobile PC.  Want the source code?  How about an MSDN article explaining the ins and outs of how it was created, the algorithms used, how it makes use of the Tablet APIs, and more?

Stay tuned...

Actually that was my first thought when I read your previous post.  Is he going to post the source code?  But just an article/post on the algorithms used would be cool too.

How about both? :) The source and the article should be available on MSDN in the near future.  I'll post again when it's up.

Yes! :) It's just taking a bit of time for the article to be reviewed by the appropriate folks and signed off on (it's the longest article I've ever written, which is saying something given that the last several articles I've published on MSDN Online have been around 10,000 words).  I'd expect it to be published publicly sometime this coming week, and I'll definitely post about it when it's out.  Thanks for the interest!  I'm also very excited about it.

Hallo Mr. Toub, it is faszinating, your non-tabblet pc installation of the tablet-PC SUDOKU. I have made an own sudoku game for (my) mobile(s). With pictures for my grandsons. Now I try several techniques up to Unique, ER, multi-coloring, X-WING an so on. The question for me, how to rate a puzzle.   Im my algorithmus I have found, that your hard puzles are difficult, very good. Your game has an excellent graphic (I have not seen, if it is useful for mobile, the little display). One question to You: How can I put in a new game from the newspaper? What to do. I think, You should develop this game a little bit like that of Angus Johnson, simple sudoku, You know. And for Children with pictures as well as with numbers. And after all it should a part of windows in future, like freecell. With recognation of notice. Please contact me, if you are interested for discussion. With best wishes Dietmar Herbrich

Glad you enjoy the implementation.  Regarding solving a newspaper puzzle, see http://blogs.msdn.com/toub/archive/2006/04/06/570400.aspx.
