Let Microsoft Search Server 2008 Set You Free
Tacky tag-line, I know and I promise only to do it sparingly in the future. Following up on my FAQ article explaining what Microsoft Search Server is, I thought it would be relevant to inform all of you that the product is actually available NOW on Microsoft's website at https://www.microsoft.com/enterprisesearch. Keep in mind that there is no functional different between Search Server Express and the standard edition in terms of functionality. The standard edition gives you additional clustering, fail-over and load-balancing that is usually required for enterprise environments.
So what does that mean? Small and mid-size businesses can finally have simple enterprise level searching across all their data for the low price of *5 times mumble carry the two* = $0.00
Every business should have a basic level of search, that is Microsoft's philosophy, that is also my philosophy so I guess, SteveB, ya did good!
