So long MMS 2009
MMS 2009 is just about over, only a 1/2 day left as of this post. MMS has been good this year with lots of good sessions and a chance to see old friends and meet new. Several interesting things came out of MMS this year.
OpsMgr R2
Less than 30 days away and counting! R2 will be awesome – I can’t want to get it in production. At MMS we just learned the scale numbers have increased. As of R2 we will support 3500 agents on a single management server and 1500 agents on a single gateway! The authoring console for R2 is awesome as well – it will make authoring much easier.
SCCM
The news on the SCCM front is exciting as well. The improvements for vPRO support coming in SP2 are cool – vPRO now works over wireless. The plans that were discussed for user centric focus in SCCM v.next were also very popular and look to be a strong addition to the SCCM product.
A big thanks to everyone who attended my two OpsMgr sessions and two Instructor led labs on SCCM branch DP’s. It was great to meet all of you and the questions were excellent. I also appreciate the feedback from those that filled out evaluations. The scores on both sessions were very high and it’s good to know those that attended found them useful! If you have any questions about any of my content, please contact me.
So it’s so long to MMS 2009 – now can’t wait for MMS 2010!
