TechEd Europe

Next week several of us will be at TechEd in Amsterdam.  I'll be giving a talk on "Building and Using a Software Factory" together with Annie Matthewman: we're going to demonstrate using GAT together with the DSL Tools to build a simple smart client application that uses a wizard from the UIP block to access data via a web service, and cache the results.  What makes this a software factory is that the guidance and tools to build this application are delivered to the correct context, and incorporate the knowledge of what to do in that context.

I'll also be giving a talk with Gareth Jones on the DSL Tools, where we'll demonstrate how to build your own DSL. Plus we'll be doing some "Chalk and Talk" sessions, a panel session, and meeting with customers and partners.  It's going to be an interesting week.  Please let us know if you'd like to meet up.
