SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 is now available on Microsoft Update (MU)
SQL Server 2008 SP2 has been available on the Microsoft Download Center since September 29th, 2010 and is also now available on Microsoft Update.

The main SP2 update for Standard, Workgroup, Developer and Enterprise Editions is available as an optional update on the Microsoft Update website and is visible when you choose "Custom" scan. The packages will be offered for each language and platform we support. Theses updates will also be available through Windows Software Update Services (WSUS).

Unfortunately may people are reporting failures when trying to install SP2 via MU. They are receiving 'Code 84C40007' errors because of the expected .Net version does not match their current version. Hopefully we will see this update adjusted so that it may be more easily deployed.
