Bell Canada uses Silverlight to offer “TV Everywhere” service

This week Bell Canada announced the availability of “TMN Online,” a service available through the Bell TV Online portal that offers access to online content for subscribers of The Movie Network channel. Silverlight, along with ExtendMedia’s OpenCASE and PlayReady DRM, is being used for content management. TMN Online is the first service in North America that links authentication and access to each subscriber, as opposed to a home Internet connection, allowing for users to stream anywhere in Canada.
