Managing your day with MapPoint

Several years ago I worked on a demo that used MapPoint for scheduling. The concept was to import a list of contacts/customers into MapPoint and plan a route with my hotel/office as the starting point and end point, and the contact addresses being the stops. This generated the most optimal driving directions for me as well as the exact times that I would meet each one of the contacts, after factoring in travel time as well as time spent with each contact. This was then exported as outlook appointments in my calendar with driving directions to each location attached. This is an example of integration between Outlook and MapPoint with automation code.

I would love to hear of other ways people have used MapPoint and Office together.

Take a look at this thread -

I've done a lot of programming with Excel and MapPoint, sometimes simply a geocoder but also for routing analysis for a delivery company and automatic generation of demographic analysis maps using custom data and locations for instance.
