Age of User Experience comes to Perth - finally!

Chuck has aligned the planets and I'm heading west to do "The Age of User Experience" at the Perth .NET Community of Practice on this Thursday 5th July at 5pm.

I'll cover the same "user experience as a product differentiator" stuff, but I'll update the demos to include more Silverlight and a better cross-section of the Expression products.

    Perth .NET put on a big crowd, showing how important the emphasis on "UX" is becoming in our collective consciousness as developers. In just an hour, I realise that it's hard to fully cover the gamit from "rich" to "lots of heads" (web / distributed, but at some later time it would be nice to see Microsoft's vision for development of "best practice" for development of the more complex desktop applications. You did put "Acropolis" into context in this regard. From your comments about your previous life (BM) in UI/UX design, I expect you would have some thoughts about the areas that aren't contained within an architecture (whether it is CAB / Smart Client software factory, etc or Acropolis) or a more "consumer developer" effort like the emerging Acropolis framework. I'd like to see you talk (and blog) about those things. The Perth talk was an excellent introuuction (at the end of a long day of similar presentations, I gather).
