SpeechTEK Windows Speech Recognition Demo -- Flawless

I just got off the stage here at SpeechTEK... Wow, that was cool! The demo went almost flawlessly. 8 minutes of 100% accuracy. Nice!

The only "mistake" was when I said "Select Rob Chambers". The recognizer got it right but ... the user error on my part was that the text in the document was actually "Robert Chambers". Oh well :-)

I'll be back on the show floor just as soon as Rich's keynote is over demonstrating Windows Speech Recognition to show attendees in the Microsoft booth. We had great attendance yesterday in the booth and I bet it'll even be bigger today.

I love Speech. It's so awesome!!

    Hello Rob:

Do you have any video footage of your demo?  It would be great to see Vista in operation.  Jim -- Michigan

Vista's speech technologies are very impressive. Here's what I want to know:
For speech synthesis, I know that 2 voices are included, 1 English and 1 Chinese. Will other languages be supported too in synthesis/text to speech?

The current plan is just to include those two languages for TTS voices in Windows Vista. What languages would you like to see us add in the future? Let us know; send us some email at listen@microsoft.com?subject=TTS%20Languages
