More SpecSharp and tree-viewed thoughts
A couple of quick links (with apologies for the radio silence; it's been a little hectic):
Jamie Plenderleith, one of our Irish MVPs, did some investigation into SpecSharp earlier this year, and posted some thoughtful links in his blog. Jamie's been exploring 64-bit computing recently and tells me that he has a 64-bit laptop that's to die for. I may be inviting myself round his gaff when the Half Life 2 expansion pack comes out, with high-definition lighting and all. :)
Also, Brian Delahunty, who made a significant contribution to our .NET Academic Library, found a very cool way to help us visualize his bookshelf. His final addition to that collection, Practical Guidelines and Best Practices for Visual Basic and Visual C# Developers, is highly recommended. It contains a vast array of tips and tricks. Now, if only Brian's image had all the books linked to their Amazon pages, I think I'd find myself clicking "Add to Cart" even more often than I already do.
As for me, the last week was a cocktail of hands-on labs and presentations all over the place. In the evenings, I've been continuing to cram in bits of Avalon whenever I can, and am starting to drill back down into the 3D bits again. I've never felt so much like I need more hours in the day. But that's the story of another post.
