Michael Rys from the SQL team in Ireland: Dublin 8 Mar; Cork 10 Mar
I'm delighted to inform you that Michael Rys is coming to Ireland next week. He's a Program Manager for SQL Server's Query Technologies (SQL and XQuery). He was Program Manager for many of the XML features in SQL 2000 and 2005 as well.
On Wednesday the 8th, he'll be speaking at the INDA Dublin usergroup on Building Distributed Service-Oriented Database Applications using SQL 2005. The event starts at 7:00; click the link for more information.
On Friday the 10th, he'll be speaking at the INDA Cork usergroup on an Overview of SQL 2005 and a Deep Dive into XML and XQuery in SQL Server 2005. It's a Friday, so the event starts at 5:00 - a perfect chance to catch a really interesting talk after work. Click link for details.
This is such a great opportunity to learn from the source, and get your toughest questions answered by someone from the SQL Server team. Both Joe Gill in Cork and Paschal Leloup in Dublin are planning to allocate plenty of time for Q&A in the sessions. Looking forward to being there myself!!
