POS for .NET v1.11 and Previous Version Availability

With the release of POS for .NET v1.11, the original version (POS for .NET v1.0) is no longer available for download. Because of POS for .NET v1.11 is backward compatible, we will be removing POS for .NET v1.10 as well. It is our intention to wait three months from the release date of version 1.11 before removing version 1.10, which would be May 2007. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

    The Epson OPOS for dot Net version 1.8e will not install with version 1.11 of MS POS for dot net. SO if you remove the v1.1 version no one can install the Epson OPOS kit any more.

    Thank you for your feedback. Epson's installer is hard coded for an older version and will not allow installations on newer versions. The POS for .Net team has notified Epson of this issue, and suggests that Epson customers do the same to encourage an updated installer from Epson that resolves the issue. There is also a workaround, customers can use the OPOS driver through the POS for .NET Legacy Interop.
