Gina's Bio
Hey there! My name is Gina Bentley and I am the Servicing and Support Program Manager for the Vertical Industries and Embedded Windows (VIEW) group. I’ve been with Microsoft since 1996 and in June of 2006 I joined VIEW, applying my technical support background to further develop the Customer Support planning, product servicing and sustained engineering programs for VIEW products. I’m involved early on in our product cycle to make sure we are planning our support strategies and training our Customer Service and Support (CSS) team members prior to shipping our products, and I stay involved after a product ships to ensure that we address application compatibility issues, and that we are appropriately responsive to customer needs for updates and security fixes. Before my work with VIEW, I managed an internal web application team for Microsoft as part of both Microsoft Research and the Windows Division, providing tools for Microsoft development efforts. Prior to joining Microsoft I developed my commitment to customer satisfaction working for ten years in technical support positions with both hardware and software manufacturers.
I am originally from Seattle, Washington, but spent most of my school years in Boise, Idaho, where I attended Boise State University and began my first foray into computers as an intern supporting the first LaserJet printers. I returned to Washington in 1991, where I have developed several expensive habits, including remodeling my home; scuba diving – both local cold water diving and tropical trips around the world; exploring Washington’s ever improving wine offerings; continuing education as a massage practitioner; and taking care of my animals.
