Amazon.com and the .NET Compact Framework

    The Amazon.com web services are great for this sort of thing, because you have readily available services that do something useful in the real world. And you learn interesting things while solving real problems (since I'm too lazy to implement buying through code, I link to PIE for that bit, which sent me off to the P/Invoking CreateProcess QuickStart sample, so that was very educational)
    Last weekend I managed to get a working Smartphone 2003 client running...now if only I could afford an actual Smartphone to run it on (the emulator's all very nice, but...)
    Admittedly a text-based search is dodgier on a phone than a PDA, but never underestimate the joy of W?BIC (for the uninitiated: "Why? Because I Can" ).
