Visual Basic 6.0 ADO & Transmogrification For The Masses.

Are you familiar with Bill Vaughn and the Hitchhiker Guide books?

Bill has published an article from his forthcoming book Hitchhiker's Guide to Visual Studio and SQL Server 2005 (7th Edition) discussing the process of converting Visual Basic 6.0 ADO code into code that can be used in a .NET application to perform roughly the same operations ("transmogrify").

The article was posted to MSDN today and IMO makes a great read.

Check out the article here https://msdn.microsoft.com/VBasic/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnadonet/html/migratingtoadonet.asp the only irony I guess is spotted at the end of the url or is this a real world example of Microsoft practicing Transmogrification?

1. Transmogrify (tràns-mòg´re-fì´, trànz-) verb, transitive. To change into a different shape or form, especially one that is fantastic or bizarre.
