Student developers create awesome apps at coding accelerator in Seattle
If you want to know what it’s like to work as a professional programmer, check out the video above, which shows how a handful of students tested their coding skills at an accelerator at Microsoft’s headquarters.
Microsoft and the nonprofit STEM Labs teamed up to give students a chance to sharpen their coding skills by designing responsive and sophisticated cloud-based apps. Organizers and development managers were
wowed by the results, saying the apps were as good as those created by professional developers!
You can read more about these incredible students on John Shewchuk’s MSDN blog.
And speaking of opportunities to build your coding skills, you can also find out how to take part in one of the many Hour of Code events happening during Computer Science Education Week, or watch an Hour of Code live stream by tuning in to Microsoft's Channel 9 at 9 a.m. PT on Dec. 8.
