Microsoft Dynamics Version Year Approach

Microsoft Dynamics recently made the decision to align our versioning approach to that of other major product lines at Microsoft. Microsoft Dynamics will be using a version year approach (2008, 2009, etc.) instead of ordinals (5.0, 6.0, etc.) for all future Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM releases.

 

Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics AX have important major releases in the next twelve months. Both products are scheduled to be Generally Available (GA) to our customers and partners in year 2009, so we’ll use 2009 as the version for both product releases—Microsoft DynamicsTM NAV 2009 and Microsoft DynamicsTM AX 2009.
