Screencast: Windows Server 2008 R2 – Active Directory Recycle Bin

One of the fantastic and new improvements in Windows Server 2008 R2 is the Active Directory Recycle Bin.  This tool allows you the ability to recover active directory objects in case you have deleted a user and need to recover them  The Recycle Bin gives you by default 180 days before the tombstone collection period.  You may not be able to take advantage of this tool right away, it does require your forest functional level to be Windows Server 2008 R2 (simply put all of your DC’s need to Windows Server 2008 R2) This In this screencast, you will see the Recycle Bin in Action.
