Matt on the Floor at SXSW* Talking with Cynergy and a New User Interface

In this interview I talk with Rick Barraza from Cynergy Systems. Rick works a lot with new interfaces.  In this video he discusses one of the coolest interfaces I have ever seen.

Additionally he led the presentation team that won the PhizzPop design challenge!  They presented 'Ben', a series of connected cross-platform applications that leveraged the power of Silverlight, Live Services, and VOIP.  At one point, the team called Barack Obama from a Silverlight Facebook application using VOIP technology.  Congratulations!

Check out the interview below and let me know what you think!  BTW, you did not just turn the channel and begin watching Minority Report.  Check out this very cool demonstration!

*You be asking what SXSW stands for?  It stands for South by Southwest, a great music festival.  Wait a second I know what you're thinking, what is Microsoft doing there?  Microsoft Silverlight was a major sponsor for SXSW Interactive which is celebrates the best minds and the brightest personalities of emerging technology.  While I was there I had my camera along with me and decided to talk with some folks!

But what about the music!?  And the parties!?  I'm not asking what sxsw stands for, I'm asking what good bands you saw and what great parties you went to!  :)

Unfortunately Mike I did not get to see the music piece, I was only there for the Interactive piece, and the partys I did go to were fun, and no I am not sharing those stories.  :-)

Too bad you didn't see the music.  My brother's band (Bat Makumba - www.batmakumba.com) were playing.  In fact, they were listed as one of the top 10 acts to see this year.   -Kevin
