San Diego is awakening to a city full of computer geeks. The sky is overcast and gray. TechEd 2004 commences at the San Diego convention center this morning. My hotel desk is littered with computer peripherals and “collateral“. I look west over gray San Diego Bay and south to the sandy beaches of Coronado. A Navy gunship motors slowly through Tuna Harbor in a slow arc around its aircraft carrier. I imagine that SteveB is somewhere nearby, pacing, as he reviews his keynote address after an early morning workout. The aircraft carrier's superstructure and deck are enshrouded in white construction tenting.
