Kevin, have you, or anyone @ MSFT, run into any issues with these MP's yet? Like cook down for logical disk free space monitoring? Just curious what early adopters have potentially run into.- Anonymous

@Tony - Nothing yet. If there was - I'd put it in a known issues post on my announcement of the release.

Kevin,I have a quick question. We're currently on UR7 and working on upgrading to SCOM 2016. I know we need to upgrade the infrastructure to UR9 or later to upgrade to 2016. Here is my question:Do we need to upgrade the agents on the servers to a UR9 or later agent, or can we go directly from a UR7 agent to SCOM 2016 Agent? Thanks a ton for all you do!- Chad- Anonymous

Agents do not need to be updated.

Still waiting for MSMQ (not on your list, Kevin). The team did mention that they were working on it a year ago. Maybe they decided not to pursue a solution for it after all? https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/momteam/2016/01/22/technical-preview-management-packs-for-windows-server-2016-server-roles-have-been-updated/- Anonymous
March 02, 2017
Is MSMQ changed much in WS2016?I'd bet not, we could likely take the WS2012R2 one for MSMQ 6.3 and update it pretty easily.

The WS2016 Hyper-V MP is important to us, the SCVMM-SCOM connection does not work unless the MP for Hyper-V is installed. Any news/ETA on that MP?- Anonymous

I expected it last month.

Hi Kevin, the MP for ADRMS 2016 is still missing. I think you had it on your list, but it's no longer there?- Anonymous
March 20, 2017
I really don't know. We had one in TP5 (technical preview) and normally they really don't change much in these from version to version, so I cannot imagine what the holdup is.

Hi, Kevin! The MP for Remote access role is missing. Any news about it?- Anonymous
March 20, 2017
I don't know. We had one of these for Windows Server 2012 and 2012R2 - but I have not seen nor heard anything for Server 2016. Nor was there a preview MP in Technical Preview.I'd recommend posting a uservoice request to get attention to any MP you feel is missing: https://systemcenterom.uservoice.com/forums/293064-general-operations-manager-feedback

Hi John - I am afraid I am not aware of the difference. Can you clarify?- Anonymous

Sorry for mistake, now is available only WS 2016 Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) MP, but what about WS 2016 Storage Spaces (Classic)? I have found only for WS 2012 R2 and it uses VMM-SCOM integration, that not reliable and acceptable for us. Maybe You could suggest how to monitor Storage Spaces (classic) on WS 2016?Thank You!

We ran into that issue with the Disk Space for Window 2016 with IIS installed, worked a good 2 months with them on the issue. There suppose to be a release end of JAN or early FEB (seems like it's delayed) Below is the email from Microsoft. I want to update you that, below is the update received from our Product Team about new OS MP release information: We should be able to make a release by end of this month or early Feb. Hi Kevin, it's now nearly one and a half years since the release of Windows Server 2016, and still, there is no Management Pack for Active Directory Certificate Services available. Why are there no updates? Why is everything so sluggish with the new SCOM version and the "new" Operating Systems?- Anonymous

There was an issue getting the ADCS MP released, but it is now available. URL above.- Anonymous

Hi Kevin, apparently the Product Team forgot to test this version thoroughly, because the newer version is no longer compatible with the 2012 R2 library. While trying to import the new MPs i got the following errors: Verification failed with 5 errors:-------------------------------------------------------Error 1:Found error in 2|Microsoft.Windows.CertificateServices.Library|7.1.10100.0|Microsoft.Windows.CertificateServices.Library|| with message:Version 10.0.0.0 of the management pack is not upgrade compatible with older version 7.1.10100.0. HiWe have the same issue regarding import fail when we have the 2012R2 MP. Have raised a support ticket to MS.- Anonymous
March 19, 2018
It is unfortunate that there was a breaking change, in that the product group apparently tried to "clean up" the library by updating some base class properties, and in the process broke upgrade compatibility. I posted a workaround that will allow them to be present together. https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kevinholman/2018/03/16/monitoring-ad-certificate-services-on-windows-server-2012-r2-and-windows-server-2016/
