    The link in the instructions has it, you have to open "Install instructions" and scroll way down to get just the client. I installed that on 2012 R2 no problemhttp://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29065

    hello, the link to download the SQL Native client does not work, and the version available at MSDN does not support WIndows 2012 R2, do you have an special link that i can download a version that support windows 2012 R2? thanks Jeziel Brizolla

    Criminey... I'm just trying to get SM going in a lab, but even a simple task like getting the AD connector going generates a cascade of errors with descriptions like 'An error was encountered.., Severity: Error'. MSFT get those summer interns back to finish this product!

    Hi, somebody can to help me?

    I´ve installed Service Manager on Server1
    I´ve Installed Data Warehouse on Server2
    Databases on SQL Server, Server3
    Now, I´m installing Portal on other server, Server4.

    I´ve one error in the installation. Configure portal Web site

    "An error occurred while executing a custom action:_CreateMOMRegKey.11EE91AB_EABF_48A6_9973_4DCD73190AC6"

    All App have been installed with the domain user Admin. This user is member of local administrator on all server.

    What is happening??

    If possible to install Service Manager 2012 R2 management server, data warehouse and self-service portal role in a single server?

    I am having the issue installing DW server. Everything worked well until I needed to enter information for analysis Service server database.
    I get the error The server is not available. The account I am using is SA admin and with the same account I installed all other database, so no permission issue.
    I am installing SCSMR2 on 2008R2 windows servers. Back end database is SQL 2008.

    I installed Microsoft SQL server Analysis Management Object on SW server. However when I run prereq check it indicated I need SQL 2012 Analysis Management object which I installed, but not sure why is that if I can use 2008 sql server. Nothing is blocked with firewall. Any idea about this?

    get errors when installing Management Server SCSM....

    Error Wizard installation:

    "An error occurred while executing a custom action:_PopulateUserRoles
    This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this role."

    What if the SP2010 server is running Service Pack 2. Lots of people say the Self Service Portal requires SP1. Do I need to install SP1 even though it has SP2? I get errors every time I try to install it

    Hi,I'm after some information about SQL Server permissions on the SCSM data warehouse databases. My SCSM database is hosted on one instance of SQL Server and my data warehouse databases are hosted on another instance that is on a different server. I'm seeing an error message in the log stating that the server hosting the SCSM database can't logon to the DWStagingAndConfig database. There is a SQL login for this server but it hasn't been granted access to any of the SCSM data warehouse databases. Does anyone know if the server hosting the SCSM database needs to be granted access to any of the SCSM data warehouse databases and if so what they are?Thank You

      Sorry, the server that can't connect to the data warehouse database is the SCSM Report Server.
