Tips, Tricks, and Techniques for Building a Great Microsoft Silverlight Application

TechEd just got kick started and I am looking forward to sharing some tips & tricks about building a great Silverlight 2 application.

Karen Corby is also doing two talks that is related to Silverlight Controls, but she'll be focusing on how to build your own controls and the new styling and templating model that will be introduce in Silverlight 2 Beta 2.

I am going to cover the usage of the actual controls (e.g. Calendar,  DataGrid..etc.) and in particular, the new features we've introduced in Beta 2.  So if you are planning to use the default set of controls in Silverlight 2, come to my talk! I'll show you:

  • What controls are available and how to use the controls
  • Best practices & tips in using these controls

It's also nice that I'm in the "Interactive Theater". I expect the session to be very interactive and I can answer many of your questions and explain our design decisions for some of these controls. :)
